You’ve likely seen decorative bottles of herb-infused olive oil adorning restaurant tables or sold on store shelves as attractive kitchen décor. Ever thought about making your own? You can use essential oils to infuse olive oil with the rich, robust flavor of your favorite herbs. This trick is efficient because just a few drops of essential oil achieve the same effect as a handful of of dry herbs; and it takes just a few moments rather than days for the infusion to take place! For this project, decide whether you prefer one large dispenser suited for use in your own kitchen or multiple smaller dispensers for gift-giving. Whether you gift the dispenser or place it on your countertop, it will be both useful and decorative.
To make Herb-infused Olive Oil you’ll need:
Olive oil (preferably organic, unrefined, and unfiltered)
dōTERRA Rosemary, Thyme, and/or Basil essential oil
Decorative oil dispenser (also called a cruet)
Mix a few drops (3-4 total) of Rosemary, Thyme, and/or Basil essential oil into the quantity of olive oil needed to fill your dispenser of choice. Create unique flavor combinations such as Rosemary with Lemon, or Basil with Black Pepper. Consider including Wild Orange, Oregano, Lemongrass, or Dill in the lineup. Use this simple recipe as a clean salad dressing, chicken marinade, pasta dish drizzle, or bread dip.

To make Herb Bread you’ll need:
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ cup milk
1 cup butter, melted
2 drops dōTERRA Rosemary essential oil
Dried thyme herbs
Preheat oven to 450 F and grease baking sheet. Stir together flour, salt, baking powder, milk, melted butter, dried herbs, and Rosemary essential oil. Knead dough until smooth. Roll out dough and cut into six-inch triangles. Brush with melted butter. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
